Discrimination on the line of payments will only lead to more mess....and more complaints...in the end people with common problem distance from each other. We all are in this together...we must solve it together including those that did not contribute a penny so far. All we can do is to convince those people to donate for the cause. Just the shear number of 25000 is a strength to IV...I agree that it may be only 100 who actually dedicate themselves to the cause. On the same line of thoughts as yours...I think it is ok to ask the user/questioner if they would like to voluntarily donate couple of bucks...if they think the answer they got is valuable enough and if it served their purpose. On the same note as the user posts a question....depending upon the urgency and the importance of the question...user could have an option to put a 'Value' of donation that they would make if that question gets answered soon enough.

same thing happened with my wife's case too, RFE status change on 4/3 and then again a soft lud on 4/6 on my wife and soft lud on mine on 4/7 ... no status change... can you guys let me know once you receive the hard copy... i will update once i receive it...so far havent received and waiting for it...as we have only 30 days to respond...
We received the RFE for the Td vaccine that was missed somehow by Concentra. But since she is nursing now, we were able to get a blanket Waiver for her.

Most EB3 applicants are NOT underpaid or under qualified. Infact they are OVERQUALIFIED as they should have been EB2 first place. JOB requirements and employers force them to be EB3, not their qualifications

I have stayed long enough in United States to say that this Rep is lying.

why would they spend time in entering the data in the system if any way they going to reject it...
As per our lawyers, right now USCIS is in the process of entering our applications in their system (for date of receipt and such). There was a memo from USCIS saying that they will be done with the job of data entry by August 1.
From August 1, we can expect either rejection or acceptance of the actual application. The hope is that a court/congressional intervention before August 1 will change the USCIS action of rejection into acceptance.

I am in eb3 row, have a job waiting for me in the usa, but i am in england, Have a PD of june 06, am terrified that my job offer will be withdrawn if i dont make some progress soon. Have had job offer for 1 year this week.

You don't indicate what stage your application is in (LC/PERM, 140 etc.) Is there a reason your prospective employer has not applied for an H1-B so you can start work before you get a greencard? (This is what 99% of EB applicants have done.)
Assuming they can't or won't, to answer your specific question here is my opinion (FWIW I'm English, EB-3 ROW with a PD of May 2003, on my 8th year of H-1B employment in the USA.):
My guess is the odds are about 50/50 that some form of immigration reform will be passed by the US government "soon" that would positively affect EB3 ROW. The practical definition of "soon" in this case is by September 2007, which allows time for debate, compromise, Presidential wanking around and who knows what Kafka-esque delays in actually enacting the law.
IF this happened there is still no guarantee this change would be positive enough to entirely clear the backlog that so a PD of June 2006 might still not to become current by September 2007.
IF this doesn't happen there is practically 0 chance of any changes that would positively effect EB retrogression prior to March 2009. (After the new government is elected in November 2008 AND then convenes a new session AND then deals with more urgent business than immigration reform.)
So some (hopefully) practical advice:
1) If you can get an H-1B now then do so
2) If you can't get an H-1B start studying for a Masters NOW. This will help you in the long run even if you get your Greencard through EB-3 because higher degrees from the UK are very valued in the USA. And if there is no improvement in EB-3 you at least have a chance at EB-2.
3) If you have no family ties and just want to go someone in North America you would almost certainly be eligible for permanent Canadian residency. You can just go to their website and fill out a simple, points-based questionnaire online. Then you can always visit the Disneyland from Canada!

He is not talking about Indians, rather he talks about H1b in general. Since India does not have equivalent social security system, US Govt and Indian Govt did not sign any contracts. Other countries like Canada / UK / AUS have mutual agreement between them and US for transferring the social security paid in US to be transferred to their home country if the alien returns to the home country.
Even Indian Govt (P.Chidambaram) I beleive is working with US Govt to get these SS paid by Indians who have returned back to India. Since the US system and Indian system does not allow with the current rules and regulations to transfer the amount, it is stalled. may be down the line even India would work with US to get these amounts back.
I heard something like this, but not sure: If you decide to move back to India, you can fill out a form and submit to INS/IRS which states that you will never come back to US for any reason. If you do it, they will pay your SS money back. I dont know anymore about this.

Asking for updated G-325A(Its an updated form little different than what we submitted during july 2007) and EVL.
Just submitted my evidences today to USCIS to the RFE I received on March 19th. Hopefully it may mean that all other evidences are fine...like BC, MC and Medicals....

Same thing applies to US congress. They dont set their timetable of bills based on morality and merits. There are other factors.
Like it or not i am becoming a big fan of your posts. There is more logic to your life than ppl who question you and ur Core Team's Selfless efforts.
Lot of ppl do overlook that this is a grassroots organization with severe limitations. Those who sling mud at these ppl, If you cant appreciate what the core does, pls dont curse them. It is not for your or our Good.
My only worry is that these CORE members get discouraged with numerous flaming posts and drop out of this noble cause.
If that happens there will be nobody to work for us. :(

it would make our plans to go back even more certian.. A MASS EXODUS of HIGH TECH WORKERS.. is exactly what this country needs..way to go!
If CIR S.1348 results as a death sentence to the draems of thousands of
hightech workers and eventually it results to a exodus i'm sure they will realize the mistake at the end.
When they will see that No one is interested in this country to study and Pursue STEM ( even with scholarship) and their problem is still unresolved they probably have to spend Double the Money to bringback Indians here.

I am EB3-India, yet I dont support the removal of per country limits, as there is a reason for the diversity rule, Indians and Chinese are currently on the wrong side of the equation so it seems "fair" to remove the quota.

If rules weren't meant to change, why have the fricking senates, parliaments and elected officials?? All we need is one court to run the whole country.
These EB country limits might look OK to you now, but in the future they'll be no doubt condemned and scrapped. The sooner the better.
