Symbols of Ganesh

Wednesday, May 11, 2011
Looking at all the images of Ganesh found here, we note that there is some symbolism in it. I hope you enjoy these Ganesh wallpapers.

While it is not always the same, in most cases God has 4 hands. In each of them takes any object, which can vary:

In the first arm carries a rope, to lead his devotees (like cattle) to the path of Truth.
The second hand holds a hatchet to cut the ties perishable of devotees.
The third hand holds a laddu (candy made with chickpea flour, fried butter, condensed milk and dried fruit) to reward devotees for their spiritual activities.
The fourth hand is always extended to give blessing to his devotees.
